A genset is an abbreviation for generator set. A genset is normally powered by a diesel engine.

Malaysia AC frequency is 50Hz. The AC voltage is 240V for single phase and 415V for 3 phases.

Identify your application and calculate the peak power you wish to run off the generator set.

There are 4 common generator types, namely open set, canopy set, container set and mobile genset. Open type is mainly used in the building with acoustic room; Canopy set is great for outdoor as it is weatherproof and soundproof; Container set is integrated with generator set together so it can endure rough weather and environment condition. Mobile genset is perfect for fast deploy to power outbreak areas, and rental application.

kVA, kW and kVar is a measuring unit to indicate the power generated by the generator set. Head to our Formula page to find out more.

You should not run your genset at 100% continuously, the ideal load for any generator set is around 65%. For example, you may safely draw 650kVA from an 1000kVA genset. You should reduce the load if your generator exceeds 65% capacity to prolong the lifetime of your generator set.

No, it is not recommended to run the genset for 24 hours. For some special occasion, this can be arranged. Please contact us for more info.

The fuel consumption varies on the load of the generator set and the capacity of the generator set. For example, a Cummins 400kVA can consume 85 liters per hour at 100% load. Contact us and we can help you to estimate your fuel consumption.
